1975 Datsun 280z FSM - Spooled up Racing

BLOWER MOTOR DIAGNOSES
Air Conditioning
Blower motor inoperative
Check fuse.
Fuse blown
Fuse OK
Locate short-circuited spot, and
repair or replace faulty parts.
Ground one of lead wires
[blue/green (1-speed), blue/black (2-speed),
blue/red (3-speed), blue (4-speed)]
leading to blower speed switch.
Blower runs.

Check ground circuit connection and lead
wire connection.
When no problem is found, replace blower
speed switch.
Blower does not run.
I
Ground blue wire of resistor.
Blower runs.
Check connection of resistor. When no
problem is found, replace resistor.
Blower does not run.
Connect 12-volt test light to white wire leading
to blower motor. Ground the other end of test
light.
Light ON
Light OFF
Check lead wire connection. When no
problem is found, replace blower motor.
Connect 12-volt test light to blue/yellow of
power source relay. Ground the other end of
test light.
Light ON
Light OFF
Check lead wire connection, and when no
problem is found, replace relay.
Check wire between relay and fuse; Check fuse
holder, too.
Repair or replace damaged parts, if any.
