The main producer in 2003 was Spain (although see Figure 2.5 below). France,Germany, Italy and the UK follow. Between them these top five producing Member Statesaccounted for 79% of EU-15 production. The main change from 1990 is that Spain was not then inthe top five although the Netherlands was.
