1-50 Installation/WiringCE ConformityCompliance with the Low Voltage Directive and ElectromagneticCompatibility Directive has been demonstrated using harmonized EuropeanNorm (EN) standards published in the Official Journal of the EuropeanCommunities. PowerFlex 750-Series drives comply with the EN standardslisted below when installed according to the PowerFlex 750-Series ACDrive Installation Instructions and this PowerFlex 750-Series AC DriveUser Manual.CE Declarations of Conformity are available online at:www.rockwellautomation.com/products/certification/Low Voltage Directive (2006/95/EC)• EN 61800-5-1 Adjustable speed electrical power drive systems – Part5-1: Safety requirements – Electrical, thermal and energy.EMC Directive (2004/108/EC)• EN 61800-3 Adjustable speed electrical power drive systems – Part 3:EMC product standard including specific test methods.General Considerations• For CE compliance, drives must satisfy installation requirements relatedto both EN 61800-5-1 and EN 61800-3 provided in this document.• PowerFlex 750-Series AC Drives comply with the EMC requirements ofEN 61800-3 when installed according to good EMC practices and theinstructions provided in this document. However, many factors caninfluence the EMC compliance of an entire machine or installation, andcompliance of the drive itself does not ensure compliance of allapplications.• PowerFlex 750-Series drives are not intended to be used on publiclow-voltage networks which supply domestic premises. Withoutadditional mitigation, radio frequency interference is expected if used onsuch a network. The installer is responsible to take measures such assupplementary line filters and enclosures to prevent interference, inaddition to the installation requirements of this document.• Requirements for supplementary mitigation related to specific highfrequency emission limits are provided in Table 1.AH.PowerFlex 750-Series User Manual – Publication 750-UM001C-EN-P – September 2009
