Allah's Messenger () asked: Who killed this man? So they said:<br />

Salamah <strong>Ibn</strong> al-Akwa', the Messenger (;I) said: <strong>The</strong>n he shall take<br />

all of what he possesses."<br />

Look, my brothers - may Allah prevent us and you from the deception<br />

of Iblis - at how these ignorant people play with Shanah.<br />

<strong>The</strong> consensus of their scholars is not worth a camel's faeces.<br />

Senior scholars have agreed that when someone is given something<br />

as a gift then it is his, whether it was defective or not. It is not<br />

permissible for others to use it without his permission.<br />

Also, the booty that is gained from a warrior is that which is on<br />

him, not that which he throws. Also, clothes become defective because<br />

of dancing, so the singer ought to get the ripped clothes, not<br />

the sound ones.<br />

All of what they say about this subject is nothing more than hallucinations.<br />

Once Abii'l-Futiih al-IsfarainI attended a dancing session and<br />

danced until his turban fell off. And once he danced with his shoes<br />

on and then remembered that it is wrong to dance with shoes on, so<br />

after the session he gave his coat as an expiation.<br />

As for ripping off clothes that are thrown on the ground: If they<br />

were thrown at the singer, this would not be sufficient to transfer<br />

ownership of the clothes to the singer. And if the thrower gave it to<br />

the singer then how could others do with it what they wanted?<br />

I heard one of their Shaikhs saying: "One day I gave one of the<br />

attendees a piece of cloth. He took it and made a container from it<br />
