<strong>AL</strong>-TIRMIDHI: MuQ.ammad <strong>Ibn</strong> 'Isa <strong>Ibn</strong> Sawrah <strong>Ibn</strong> Musa <strong>Ibn</strong> al­<br />

I)aQ.Q.ak al-SulamI al-TirmidhI, the <strong>Imam</strong>, I:lafi? and the author<br />

of the famous Sunan. He was trustworthy and precise and one<br />

of the students of Bukhari. He died in the year 279H.<br />

'UMAR IBN <strong>AL</strong>-KHA Tf AB: Abu I:Iafs 'Umar <strong>Ibn</strong> al-Khattab <strong>Ibn</strong><br />

Nufayl al-QurashI al-'AdawI, the second Rightly Guided Khalifah<br />

and one of the ten promised Paradise. He accepted Islam five<br />

years before the Hijrah and his acceptance was a great victory<br />

for the Muslims. He witnessed every battle that the Prophet ()<br />

witnessed. He was martyred in the year 23H.<br />

UMM A YMAN: Barakah hint Tha'labah <strong>Ibn</strong> 'Amr. She married<br />

'Ubaid <strong>Ibn</strong> al-I:larith and gave birth to Ayman. <strong>The</strong>n she was<br />

married to Zayd <strong>Ibn</strong> I:Iarithah and gave birth to 'Usamah <strong>Ibn</strong><br />

Zayd. She died in the year 11H.<br />

UMM SULAYM: Her name is differed over, she was the daughter<br />

of Mil'an al-AnarI. She was initially married to Malik and when<br />

he died she married Abu TalQ.ah. She used to accompany the<br />

Messenger () on his military expeditions. She died in the year<br />

30H.<br />

USAYD IBN HUl)AYR: <strong>Ibn</strong> Sammak <strong>Ibn</strong> 'Amr al-Qays al-AarI<br />

al-AshhalI, Abu Ya'ya, he witnessed the pledge of Uqbah, the<br />

battle of Upud and the following battles. He had a beautiful recitation<br />

and died in the year 20H.<br />

URWAH: <strong>Ibn</strong> al-Zubayr <strong>Ibn</strong> al-'Awam al-AsadI, Abu 'Abdullah. He<br />

was trustworthy and precise, a Legal Jurist, a scholar, and he<br />
