Devil's <strong>Deception</strong> of $ijis when a Death Occurs<br />

In this matter, he practices two forms of deception:<br />

1. First: That they say: "We must not weep over a deceased person. " Whoever<br />

does so is not from among the people of knowledge.<br />

lbn 'Aqil said: This is nonsense because it goes against human<br />

nature. Allah told us about a noble Prophet ():<br />

"and his eyes became white from grief, for he was [of<br />

that] a suppressor."<br />

[Yusef (12): 84]<br />

and said:<br />

"Oh, my sorrow over Yusuf''<br />

<strong>The</strong> Messenger of Allah () also wept over the death of his son,<br />

saying: "<strong>The</strong> eye surely sheds tears."239<br />

Fatimah (ratffyA//ahu 'anhd'j said after the Prophet's () death: "Oh<br />

what grief to my father!"240 And no one found fault with her for<br />

saying this.<br />

He who is not emotionally moved <strong>by</strong> happy and sad events is closer<br />

to being an inanimate object.<br />
