Chapter Eleven: <strong>The</strong> Devil's <strong>Deception</strong> ef the Siifts<br />

forbidding gazing at unlawful pretty images) without distinguishing<br />

between one person and another.<br />

And verses from the Qur'an oppose this notion. Allah said:<br />

» "-' ,... i.)"<br />

\" ,.-,.<br />

"Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision<br />

and guard their private parts."<br />

[al-Nur (24): 30]<br />

and He said:<br />

"<strong>The</strong>n do they not look at the camels - how they are created?<br />

And at the sky - how it is raised? And at the mountains<br />

- how they are erected?"<br />

[al-Ghashfyah (88): 17-19]<br />

Allah only encouraged us to look at things that cause no lust, yet<br />

result in wisdom. We are not to stare at things that cause lust, because<br />

there is no wisdom gained from staring at them. This is why<br />

Allah never sent a female as a messenger, nor did He allow for a<br />

woman to be a judge, imam or a mu'adhin. This is because a woman<br />

will always be desired.<br />

Those who claim that they find wisdom when gazing at pretty<br />

faces and those who claim that they have a nature that is different<br />

than others, must be considered liars. This is from the devil's deception.<br />
