2 line over that long period of time to be about 4.66 or
3 so if my memory serves me correct.
4 That just doesn't jive at all with my
5 knowledge of the Miramar Beach. And like I said, I've
6 had a lifelong, that is to say, 35-year knowledge, of
7 that place down there, and I know this has bearing on
8 utilization in terms of the area that's being considered
9 as well as the beach-use area and the 60-foot use area
10 that they're claiming as their own.
11 I'm concerned about the impacts to the public
12 at large and their ability to continue to enjoy that
13 beach down there as well as the cumulative impacts when
14 you look at all the components together being
15 discussed -- the ballroom, the public at the beach on
16 weekends. The fact that many of these beach events,
17 which I guess can be as many 30 per year if I'm not
18 mistaken, that's an increase over the Schrager plan.
19 Previous owners of the Miramar never felt it
20 necessary at all to even use the beachfront for purposes
21 of weddings and cocktail parties, and I'm deeply
22 suspicious of the one-hour limit on that as well. I've
23 never been to a cocktail party that's lasted an hour. I
24 don't know if anyone here has, but it doesn't seem
25 realistic to me that that's not going to impose a big
