2 MR. BURLAP: Good afternoon Commission. My
3 name is Robert Burlap. I've been a 77-year resident of
4 Montecito, and I've heard some really interesting
5 things. I'll make this short. I hope I can keep it
6 under three minutes.
7 I just want to talk about the safety part of
8 it and get some answers into that like that. As far as
9 Jameson goes and Eucalyptus Lane, the Miramar not being
10 open at this time, Eucalyptus Lane still has many, many
11 traffic problems as does Jameson Lane.
12 Something I'd like to address is I'm trying
13 to get ahold of Montecito Fire Department,
14 Mr. Langhorne. I'm going to call the Sheriff's
15 Department and CHP to see if they have put any input
16 into this or made any type of a plan.
17 What I'm getting to there was a major fire,
18 as you all know, in Montecito in the '60s that burned
19 almost to East Valley Road. They talk a little bit
20 about water. I saw the water meters just trickling out
21 because people were using water on their own to put out
22 their roof fires and so forth.
23 I just somehow don't believe there's going to
24 be enough water, enough pressure, and so forth and --
25 into that water thing, but as far as safety goes, what
