Da die Synthese über atomare Zwischenstufen abläuft, kann die Wahl der Precursoren vorwiegend unter ökonomischen und arbeitsschutztechnischen Gesichtspunkten geschehen. Weiterer Forschungsbedarf besteht <strong>auf</strong> dem Gebiet der Precursorinjektion. Das Simulieren der Tröpfchenbildung und des Wärmeübertrags vom Plasma <strong>auf</strong> die Tröpfchen in Abhängigkeit vom Zerstäubergas, seiner Geschwindigkeit, dem Injektionsort und den Plasmaparametern wird entscheidend zum Optimieren der Speziesverteilung im Plasma beitragen. Durch Analysen unter Berücksichtigung <strong>von</strong> Precursoreigenschaften (temperaturabhängige Viskosität und Oberflächenspannung, Verdampfungs- und Dissoziationsenthalpien) können die Injektionsbedingungen für beliebige weitere Precursorsysteme optimiert werden. Schließlich gilt es, die Emissionsspektroskopie zu einem online Prozesskontrolltool zu entwickeln, um eine ausreichende Prozesssicherheit für die industrielle Serienfertigung zu erreichen. Dies kann durch die Überwachung der Emissionsintensität ausgewählter Spezies an mehreren Orten erfolgen, so dass Abweichungen <strong>von</strong> einem optimierten Syntheseprozess erkannt werden.
