The research instruments were as follows: Bontis’s (1997) Intellectual Capital Questionnaire which
consisted <strong>of</strong> 52 items with three underlying constructs <strong>of</strong> human capital, customer capital, and
structural capital and Cronbach Alpha <strong>of</strong> 0.95; Managers’ Creative Problem-Solving Questionnaire
(Whetten & Cameron, 2006) which was comprised <strong>of</strong> 22 items with dimensions <strong>of</strong> logical problemsolving,
creative problem-solving, developing innovation and Cronbach Alpha 0.82; and a researchermade
questionnaire for organizational culture which was constructed based on <strong>the</strong> Robbin’s (1996)
<strong>the</strong>ory with 28 items and underlying factors <strong>of</strong> individual initiative, risk tolerance, direction, integration,
conflict tolerance, management contact, control, and reward system (α = 0.92). The results <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>
study were calculated through path analysis using LISREL s<strong>of</strong>tware.
4. Findings <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> study
In <strong>the</strong> present research, in staffs group 569 subjects were male and 381 subjects were female.
Regarding <strong>the</strong>ir work experience, 253 people had less than 5 years, 334 had between 6 to 10 years,
and 364 had more than 11 years <strong>of</strong> work experience. Regarding <strong>the</strong> academic degree, 201 subjects
had held Diploma or Associate Diploma, 569 subjects held Bachelor’s degree, and 178 subjects held
MA or Ph. D. degrees. Regarding <strong>the</strong> marital status <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> subjects, 195 out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m were single and
736 were married. In managers group 263 subjects were male, and 67 subjects were female.
Regarding <strong>the</strong>ir work experience, 49people had less than 5 years, 101 had between 6 to 10 years,
and 181 had more than 11 years <strong>of</strong> work experience. Regarding <strong>the</strong> academic degree, 24 subjects
had held Diploma or Associate Diploma, 133 subjects held Bachelor’s degree, and 172 subjects held
MA or Ph. D. degrees. Regarding <strong>the</strong> marital status <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> subjects, 37 out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m were single and
286 were married.
The data collected from <strong>the</strong> administration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> instruments were analyzed. These data included <strong>the</strong>
different indexes <strong>of</strong> central tendency, variability and <strong>the</strong> distribution <strong>of</strong> both groups, <strong>the</strong> managers’
scores obtained from <strong>the</strong> questionnaire <strong>of</strong> creative problem-solving and its 3 components and <strong>the</strong>
staffs’ scores obtained from intellectual capital and organizational culture questionnaires and <strong>the</strong>ir
related components. The distribution <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> managers’ and <strong>the</strong> staffs’ scores in <strong>the</strong> given variables
had tendency toward normality.
As shown in Figure 1, Chi-square index is 364.47 which is significant at 0.000.The Lambda rate <strong>of</strong>
external latent variable <strong>of</strong> creative problem-solving components was 1.46 for x1 (logical problemsolving),
4.82 for x2 (creative problem-solving), 1.83 for x3 (developing innovation) whose
accumulation form <strong>the</strong> creative problem-solving variable with <strong>the</strong> effectiveness rate <strong>of</strong> 0.03.
