a company’s absorptive capacity, which, in turn, leads to <strong>the</strong> assimilation <strong>of</strong> new knowledge with prior
knowledge. (Liyanage, 2002)
An organization oriented towards learning is an organization able to create, attract, interpret and
enhance knowledge dynamics by purposefully changing <strong>the</strong> behavior and structure in order to
discover o<strong>the</strong>r new perspectives <strong>of</strong> development. We regard learning as endogenous to knowledge
processes and argue that it forms an integral part <strong>of</strong> knowledge development, knowledge absorption,
and interchanges. In <strong>the</strong> formation <strong>of</strong> knowledge and intellectual capital, learning plays a critical role,
especially in filling out <strong>the</strong> knowledge gaps <strong>of</strong> individuals, teams, and systems. (Liyanage, 2002) The
conceptual connections between all <strong>the</strong>se concepts are plenty and logical and if you don’t miss out
<strong>the</strong> fact that <strong>the</strong>y are fruits <strong>of</strong> re-thinking reality you’ll find this as <strong>the</strong> most solid argument to believe
<strong>the</strong>y work.
We conclude that <strong>the</strong> intellectual capital is a dynamic component that may continuously be modelled
with respect to its quantity, quality, value, usefulness or intensity <strong>of</strong> use and this is exactly what an
au<strong>the</strong>ntic learning organization implies: endless dynamics.
