The total number <strong>of</strong> graduates in 2009 was <strong>the</strong> 1577, a decrease <strong>of</strong> 21.8% compared with 2016
students enrolled at <strong>the</strong> beginning <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> academic year 2005-2006, (-439 students).
This decrease was due to numerous reasons such as:
Abandoning <strong>the</strong> Bachelor studies for various reasons;
Expelling students due to <strong>the</strong> non-payment <strong>of</strong> education fees, not signing study contracts/
addendum in due time, to failing <strong>the</strong> didactic activities.
The table no. 2 reflects <strong>the</strong> number <strong>of</strong> graduates <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Bachelor degree in <strong>the</strong> year 2008-2009 at <strong>the</strong>
analyzed University and indirectly, <strong>the</strong> importance <strong>of</strong> academic education for acquiring <strong>the</strong> necessary
skills for <strong>the</strong> integration into <strong>the</strong> labor market.

University aims to train students who become tolerant graduates, able to keep pace with <strong>the</strong> changes
produced in <strong>the</strong> world economy system and able to work in interdisciplinary areas. From <strong>the</strong> total
number <strong>of</strong> 2008-2009 graduates, namely 1577, only 551 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m managed to integrate into <strong>the</strong> labor
market, in accordance with <strong>the</strong> specialization <strong>the</strong>y obtained after passing <strong>the</strong> license examination.
The graduates’ difficulties in finding a proper and convenient job can be explained by <strong>the</strong> successive
reforms <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> higher education system and <strong>the</strong> changes in <strong>the</strong> labour market. The slow pace <strong>of</strong>
economic growth and <strong>the</strong> difficulty <strong>of</strong> generate new jobs lead to a low demand <strong>of</strong> work force and
<strong>the</strong>refore <strong>of</strong> human capital.
