requested and the measures BellSouth is taking to make additional space available for
collocation arrangements. A Space Availability Report does not reserve space at the
BellSouth Premises for which the Space Availability Report was requested by TC
SYSTEMS.
The request from TC SYSTEMS for a Space Availability Report must be in writing
and include the BellSouth Premises street address, as identified in the Local Exchange
Routing Guide (LERG) and Common Language Location Identification (CLLI) code
of the BellSouth Premises. CLLI code information is located in the National
Exchange Carrier Association (NECA) Tariff FCC No. 4.
2.1.2 BellSouth will respond to a request for a Space Availability Report for a particular
BellSouth Premises within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of such request.
BellSouth will respond in ten (10) calendar days to a request for a Space Availability
Report for up to and including five (5) BellSouth Premises within the same state. The
response time for a request for a Space Availability Report of more than five (5)
BellSouth Premises shall be negotiated between the Parties. If BellSouth cannot meet
the ten (10) calendar-day response time, BellSouth shall notify TC SYSTEMS and
inform TC SYSTEMS of the time frame under which it can respond.
3. Collocation Options
3.1 Cageless. BellSouth shall allow TC SYSTEMS to collocate TC SYSTEMS’s
equipment and facilities without requiring the construction of a cage or similar
structure. BellSouth shall allow TC SYSTEMS to have direct access to TC
SYSTEMS’s equipment and facilities in accordance with Section 5.9. BellSouth shall
make cageless collocation available in single bay increments. Except where TC
SYSTEMS’s equipment requires special technical considerations (e.g., special cable
racking or isolated ground plane), BellSouth shall assign cageless Collocation Space in
conventional equipment rack lineups where feasible. For equipment requiring special
technical considerations, TC SYSTEMS must provide the equipment layout, including
spatial dimensions for such equipment pursuant to generic requirements contained in
Telcordia GR-63-Core, and shall be responsible for compliance with all special
technical requirements associated with such equipment.
3.2 Caged. At TC SYSTEMS’s expense, TC SYSTEMS will arrange with a Supplier
certified by BellSouth (BellSouth Certified Supplier) to construct a collocation
arrangement enclosure in accordance with BellSouth’s Technical References (TRs)
(hereinafter referred to as Specifications) prior to starting equipment installation.
BellSouth will provide Specifications upon request. Where local building codes
require enclosure specifications more stringent than BellSouth’s enclosure
Specifications, TC SYSTEMS and TC SYSTEMS’s BellSouth Certified Supplier must
comply with the more stringent local building code requirements. TC SYSTEMS’s
BellSouth Certified Supplier shall be responsible for filing and obtaining any and all
necessary permits and/or licenses for such construction. BellSouth shall cooperate
