Generator. Under RCRA, the person whose act produces a Hazardous Waste, as defined in 40 CFR 261, or<br />

whose act first causes a Hazardous Waste to become subject to regulation. The Generator is legally responsible<br />

for the proper management and disposal of Hazardous Wastes in accordance with regulations.<br />

Hazardous Chemical. As defined in the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) hazard communication<br />

standard (29 CFR 1910.1200), any chemical which is a health hazard or physical hazard.<br />

Hazardous Waste. As defined in section 1004 of RCRA.<br />

Imminent Danger. Any conditions or practices at a remote site location which are such that a danger exists<br />

which could reasonably be expected to cause immediate death or serious harm to people or immediate significant<br />

damage to the environment or natural resources.<br />

Spill or Release. As defined in Section 101 of CERCLA.<br />
