3.7 Co-Carrier Cross Connect (CCXC). The primary purpose of collocation is for a
telecommunications carrier to interconnect with BellSouth's network or to access
BellSouth's unbundled network elements for the provision of telecommunications
services. BellSouth will permit TC SYSTEMS to interconnect between its virtual or
physical collocation arrangement(s) and that (those) of another collocated
telecommunications carrier within the same BellSouth Premises. Both TC
SYSTEMS’s agreement and the other collocated telecommunications carrier’s
agreement must contain the CCXC rates, terms and conditions before BellSouth will
permit the provisioning of CCXCs between the two collocated carriers. TC
SYSTEMS is prohibited from using the Collocation Space for the sole or primary
purpose of cross-connecting to other collocated telecommunications carriers.
TC SYSTEMS must contract with a BellSouth Certified Supplier to place the CCXC.
The CCXC shall be provisioned using facilities owned by TC SYSTEMS. Such crossconnections
to other collocated telecommunications carriers may be made using either
electrical or optical facilities. TC SYSTEMS shall be responsible for providing a letter
of authorization (LOA), with the application, to BellSouth from the other collocated
telecommunications carrier to which it will be cross-connecting. The TC SYSTEMSprovisioned
CCXC shall utilize BellSouth common cable support structure. There will
be a recurring charge per linear foot, per cable, of common cable support structure
used by TC SYSTEMS to provision the CCXC to the other collocated
telecommunications carrier. In those instances where TC SYSTEMS’s equipment and
the equipment of the other collocated telecommunications carrier are located in
contiguous caged Collocation Space, TC SYSTEMS may use its own technicians to
install co-carrier cross connects using either electrical or optical facilities between the
equipment of both collocated telecommunications carriers by constructing a dedicated
cable support structure between the two contiguous cages. TC SYSTEMS shall
deploy such electrical or optical cross-connections directly between its own facilities
and the facilities of another collocated telecommunications carrier without being
routed through BellSouth’s equipment. TC SYSTEMS shall not provision CCXC on
any BellSouth distribution frame, POT (Point of Termination) Bay, DSX (Digital
System Cross-Connect) or LGX (Light Guide Cross-Connect). TC SYSTEMS is
responsible for ensuring the integrity of the signal.
To place an order for CCXCs, TC SYSTEMS must submit an Initial Application or
Subsequent Application to BellSouth. Fees associated with CCXC applications, if
any, are addressed in Sections 6.2 and 6.3.1 of this Attachment.
4. Occupancy
4.1 Occupancy. BellSouth will notify TC SYSTEMS in writing when the Collocation
Space is ready for occupancy (Space Ready Date). TC SYSTEMS will schedule and
complete an acceptance walkthrough of the Collocation Space with BellSouth within
fifteen (15) calendar days of the Space Ready Date. BellSouth will correct any
deviations in TC SYSTEMS’s original or jointly amended application requirements
within seven (7) calendar days after the walkthrough, unless the Parties mutually agree
