Status report<br />

(2) In an order under subsection (1) (b) of this section, the<br />

Lieutenant Governor in Council may exempt the authority<br />

from sections 45 to 47 of the Utilities Commission Act with<br />

respect to anything to be done under subsection (1) (b) (iii) of<br />

this section.<br />

(3) The authority and its subsidiaries and persons and their<br />

successors and assigns who enter into an energy supply<br />

contract as a result of a process referred to in subsection (1)<br />

(b) (i) of this section are exempt from section 71 of the<br />

Utilities Commission Act with respect to the energy supply<br />

contract.<br />

(4) The Lieutenant Governor in Council, for the purposes of<br />

subsection (5) (a), may approve a report submitted under<br />

subsection (1) (b) (iv).<br />

(5) In setting rates for the authority, the commission must<br />

ensure that the rates do not allow the authority to recover<br />

(a) its expenditures for export as set out in a<br />

report approved by the Lieutenant Governor in<br />

Council under subsection (4), and<br />

(b) any other expenditures for export.<br />

5 (1) The authority must submit to the minister, by the time the<br />

minister requires, a status report respecting the authority's<br />

most recently approved integrated resource plan.<br />

(2) The minister must make public a status report submitted<br />

under subsection (1) in the same manner and at the same<br />

time that the minister makes public a service plan under the<br />

Budget Transparency and Accountability Act.<br />

6 (1) In this section:<br />
