American Colors is a project based on minimalist
geometric abstraction but we could term it “critical
abstraction”. A series of different paintings that
use the 5 conventional colours applied to the races
of the world. Formalist language is reconsidered,
overcoming intuitive compositions conditioned
by arithmetic or geometric progressions that lack meaning.
A project in which infography, minimalist objects, painting
of fields in the colours of North America and interior design
come together to create a sociological and anthropological
study, the result of which is a critical reflection.
Corporate Armies. From a true story we present
a project of “political fiction”, in format of video, sculpture
and drawing. In the form of trailer, the 3D video
anticipates a plot that simulates the procedures employed
by entertainment factories to launch their multimedia
products on the market. The sculptures of these corporate
soldiers are realized with digital technology 3D and they
work as an auratic merchandising piece. The futurist
inheritance of this relation beauty-war is in use
for identiing here a certain technology of spectacular
seduction used by the mass media and the industry
of the entertainment.
