Tamara Moyzes i Shlomo Yaffe przedstawiają wideo, które delikatnie
bada granice współżycia dwóch ludzi z perspektywy instytucji.
Ślub, który przez niedopatrzenie dwóch rabinów nie został zarejestrowany
w czeskich urzędach, prowadzi oboje artystów przed komisję badającą
prawdziwość ich związku. Odmawiają przeprowadzenia kolejnego
obrzędu ślubnego pro forma i w ten sposób w świetle prawa są nadal
osobami stanu wolnego.
Tamara Moyzes and Shlomo Yaffe present a video, which with subtlety
explores the limits of co-existence of two people from an institutional
perspective. Following a wedding, which due to an oversight
of two rabbis had not been registered in Czech official files, the artists
are forced to appear before a commission which examines the
factualness of their relationship. They refuse to perform another
marriage ceremony pro-forma and thus, in the eyes of the law,
their marital status remains ‘single’.
