Heini Aho was born in 1979, Turku, Finland.
She graduated form Turku Arts Academy and is currently doing MFA degree
in Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki.
She is living and working mainly in Turku / Helsinki, Finland.

I participated in the Arctic Circle residency program in October 2009.
Artist and scientist led group sailed around the Spitsbergen and landed whenever
it was possible.
Learning by Imitation was filmed in the Fjord of Love.
I took all my clothes with me to the shore and started to dress
and undress them – coincidently.
Person deforms into some sort of sculptural monster again and again,
aimless dressing reminds of ritual in overwhelming nature scene
or urge to protect against something unknown.
I continued as long as I could take the freezing wind.
