Officer's Recommendation That Council ENDORSE the attached Design Brief for the provision of Landscape Design Services to develop the Scarborough Beach Urban Design Master Plan – Separable Portion 2. Report Purpose To seek Council endorsement of the ‘Request for Quotation’ design brief for landscape detailed design services for Separable Portion 2 only to facilitate the implementation of the Scarborough Beach Urban Design Master Plan. Background On the 3 April 2012 the Executive Team approved the design brief to procure landscape design services for the Scarborough Beach Urban Design Master Plan. Following this, a consultant was appointed from the City’s panel of consultants to prepare a finishing palette for Separable Portion (SP) 1, 2 & 3 and landscape detailed design documentation for Separable Portion (SP) 1 only. The value of this consultancy was $80,000. The design brief attached in Appendix 1 contains a plan indicating the areas referred to as separable portions. These are: Separable Portion (SP) 1 – Scarborough Beach Road/Entry plaza Separable Portion (SP) 2 – Southern Esplanade Separable Portion (SP) 3 – Northern Esplanade Separable Portion (SP) 4 – West Coast Highway 165
