MINUTES OF THE ORDINARY MEETING OF COUNCIL 18 SEPTEMBER 2012 13. NOTICE OF MOTION FOR CONSIDERATION AT THE NEXT MEETING 13.1 NOTICE OF MOTION - COUNCILLOR ROBBINS - TO CONSIDER THE FEASIBILITY OF ALLOWING THE SHOP OWNERS/OPERATORS FACING THE SECTION OF THE ESPLANADE SCARBOROUGH, TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE OFF THAT SECTION OF THE ROAD FOR WEEKEND PERIODS TO ENABLE EXTENSION OF ALFRESCO TRADING IN THE CLOSED SECTION OF ROAD Councillor Robbins submitted the following notice of motion at the Council meeting held 18 September 2012 for consideration at the next meeting of Council:- "That a report be PROVIDED to enable Council to CONSIDER the feasibility, prior to the implementation of the SEAS Masterplan, of allowing the shop owners/operators facing the section of the Esplanade Scarborough, between the south entrance to the north lower car park and Manning Street, to temporary close off that section of the road for weekend periods (that being Friday 3.00pm to Monday 9.00am) during the Summer months December through to February) to enable extension of alfresco trading in the closed section of road." 13.2 NOTICE OF MOTION - COUNCILLOR ROBBINS - TO INVESTIGATE THE FEASIBILITY OF OFFERING THE MAUREEN GRIERSON CENTRE AS A MOBILE POLICE STATION DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS Councillor Robbins submitted the following notice of motion at the Council meeting held 18 September 2012 for consideration at the next meeting of Council:- "That a report be PROVIDED to Council investigating the feasibility of offering the Maureen Grierson Centre as a mobile police station during the Summer months." 13.3 NOTICE OF MOTION - COUNCILLOR ROBBINS - TO INVESTIGATE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE USE OF THE ROOF OF THE MAUREEN GRIERSON CENTRE FOR BUSKERS AND ARTISTS TO PRACTISE THEIR CRAFTS Councillor Robbins submitted the following notice of motion at the Council meeting held 18 September 2012 for consideration at the next meeting of Council:- "That a report be PROVIDED to Council to investigate the opportunity for the use of the roof of the Maureen Grierson Centre for buskers and artists to practise their crafts." 360
