INTRODUCTION OF PARTICIPANTS
(20 MIN.)
The trainer(s) should:
• Greet participants (Px) and introduce
yourself.
• Ask all Px to give their names.
• Divide Px into pairs.
• Ask Px to spend 10 minutes
interviewing each other (5 minutes for
each interview). Include the trainers in
the exercise and pair them with Px. Px
may ask any questions that will help
them be able to introduce their partner
to the rest of the group.
• At the end of 10 minutes, ask each Px
to introduce their partner to the rest of
the group.

EXPECTATIONS (30 MIN.)
The trainer should:
• Ask the group to pair off, so that they
have a different partner for this
exercise.
• Distribute Px Handout 0.1: Defining
Participants' Expectations to each Px.

interviewing each other like a
journalist to answer the five questions.
