PROVIDING ADOLESCENT SERVICES<br />

Module 16/Unit 13<br />

INTRODUCTION:<br />

In order to successfully serve adolescent clients with <strong>reproductive</strong> <strong>health</strong> care, service<br />

programs must attract, adequately and com<strong>for</strong>tably meet the needs of, and retain these<br />

clients. By conducting a facility assessment, participants learn to evaluate the<br />

characteristics of youth-friendly <strong>services</strong>. The knowledge gained from the assessment<br />

can then be applied to <strong>services</strong> that are provided in their own clinics.<br />

UNIT TRAINING OBJECTIVE:<br />

To help providers evaluate and develop youth-friendly <strong>services</strong> in their RH/FP clinic or<br />

organization.<br />

SPECIFIC LEARNING OBJECTIVES:<br />

By the end of the unit, participants will be able to:<br />

1. Identify ways to make programs youth-friendly.<br />

2. Demonstrate how to evaluate and plan youth-friendly <strong>services</strong>.<br />
