In these papers, Alois Moser describes persecution as a Jehovah‘s Witness, imprisonment<br />

in several camps including Mauthausen, and the various types of inmate markings<br />

(triangles and badges) that he encountered in the camps. Also included is a timeline that<br />

traces Moser‘s travels as a prisoner from April 1939 through May 1945.<br />

This collection contains descriptions of Emil Jacoby‘s <strong>Holocaust</strong> recollections and his<br />

visits <strong>to</strong> various Eastern European concentration camps in 1987. Included is in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />

about Jacoby‘s imprisonment at Auschwitz, his survival of a death march in Austria, his<br />

liberation by the Soviet army, and his involvement in the Palestine Brigade (Jewish<br />

Brigade).<br />

RG-02.035 ―Once Upon Four Decades,‖ 1939–1979<br />

―Once Upon Four Decades‖ includes testimonies of several <strong>Holocaust</strong> survivors as<br />

recorded by Margaret Collin. The survivors describe their experiences in concentration<br />

camps, as well as escape from the Nazis, life in hiding, incidents of attempted suicide,<br />

and great mental anguish suffered since the <strong>Holocaust</strong>‘s end. Also included are Collin‘s<br />

recollections about her own escape from Germany in 1939 and the loss of her family, as<br />

well as documents, pho<strong>to</strong>graphs, poems, and songs.<br />
