This collection consists of a typewritten translation of Klara Ostfeld‘s memoir relating<br />

her life in Cernăuţi, Romania (now Chernovtsy, Ukraine) under the Ion An<strong>to</strong>nescu<br />

regime; her deportation <strong>to</strong> Transnistria in 1941; conditions in the ―Mogilev Podolsk‖<br />

(Mogilev-Podolski) and Scazenets <strong>for</strong>ced labor camps; and her postwar life in Romania,<br />

Israel, and Venezuela. Carlos Rangel wrote a prologue <strong>to</strong> the memoir. Ostfeld‘s resumé<br />

of her memoir and pho<strong>to</strong>copies of press releases and articles are included.<br />

Community from the British Colony of Cyprus in 1941,‖ Ca. 1989<br />

This memoir concerns the experiences of Frederick Wohl and his family during the<br />

evacuation of Jews from Cyprus and the family‘s travels <strong>to</strong> Israel and southern Africa.<br />

Also included is a list of names and addresses of those Jews evacuated from Cyprus <strong>to</strong><br />

Tel Aviv in June 1941.<br />

RG-03.010 ―The Tragedy of World War Two,‖ [[[NO DATE!!]]]<br />

This collection contains two typescripts written by Stanley Kowalski concerning his<br />

native <strong>to</strong>wn of Jazlowiec, Poland. The first typescript (in <strong>English</strong>) is a copy of pages 158<br />

through 180 of a larger manuscript entitled ―Jazlowiec, the Town Lost in His<strong>to</strong>ry.‖ The<br />

second typescript (35 pages) is in Polish. Kowalski was imprisoned by the Soviets and<br />

taken <strong>to</strong> Soviet prisons in the East. Eventually he was a member of the First Polish<br />

Armoured Division, which fought on the Western front.<br />
