This collection contains letters, questionnaires, testimonies, and supporting documents on<br />

Jewish <strong>Holocaust</strong> survivors and non-Jewish witnesses and rescuers in the <strong>for</strong>mer USSR.<br />

The documents are addressed <strong>to</strong> the Jewish Foundation <strong>for</strong> Christian Rescuers and its<br />

representatives in Ukraine, the Israeli Embassy in Kyiv, and the Department of Righteous<br />

Gentiles at Yad Vashem.<br />

RG-31.066M Regional Palestine Bureau, Lwow Branch, 1924–1939<br />

This collection contains records of the Regional Palestine Bureau, established in 1924<br />

and active in Eastern Galicia until Soviet annexation in 1939. The organization prepared<br />

documents enabling Jews <strong>to</strong> emigrate <strong>to</strong> Palestine and acted as an agent <strong>for</strong> the purchase<br />

of land there. The bulk of the collection consists of correspondence with potential<br />

emigrants and is organized alphabetically and chronologically. The collection also<br />

contains correspondence with the Central Palestine Bureau in Warsaw and various Jewish<br />

and Zionist organizations in other countries regarding visas, immigration law, and the<br />

political situation in Europe and Palestine,.<br />

Academicum Judaicum), Lwow Regional Branch, 1931–1939<br />

This collection contains documents about financial aid <strong>to</strong> Polish-Jewish students studying<br />

abroad. The Association maintained reading rooms and offered a wide range of<br />

in<strong>for</strong>mational services; the bulk of these documents consists of applications <strong>for</strong> financial<br />

aid, organized alphabetically by name.<br />
