In this memoir, Charlotte Arpadi describes her experiences as a child, as an adolescent in<br />

Berlin, and as an inmate of the Riga ghet<strong>to</strong>. She also discusses her experiences in the<br />

Riga-Kaiserwald and Stutthof concentration camps, a death march, her liberation in<br />

Poland, and her emigration <strong>to</strong> the United States.<br />

In this memoir, Joseph Berger describes his life in the L‘viv (a.k.a. L‘wów, L‘vov)<br />

ghet<strong>to</strong>, the separation from his family, his deportation <strong>to</strong> Buchenwald, his transfer <strong>to</strong> a<br />

work camp in L‘viv and his subsequent escape, his liberation, and his reunion with of one<br />

of his daughters after the war.<br />
