This collection contains testimonies written by concentration camp libera<strong>to</strong>rs during the<br />

International Libera<strong>to</strong>rs Conference organized by the United States <strong>Holocaust</strong> Memorial<br />

Council and held in Washing<strong>to</strong>n, D.C., in Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 1981. The testimonies describe<br />

liberation experiences at various Nazi concentration camps throughout Europe. Also<br />

included is material describing the International Libera<strong>to</strong>rs Conference.<br />

Organization and arrangement: The files are arranged alphabetically by camp name.<br />

Testimonies within the files are also arranged alphabetically by name.<br />

Provenance: Participants of the Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 1981 International Libera<strong>to</strong>rs Conference wrote<br />

the testimonies in response <strong>to</strong> a request from the United States <strong>Holocaust</strong> Memorial<br />
