This testimony describes the survival of Shirley Lebovitz and her daughter, Magda, and
their return to a normal life after World War II. It includes information about the
treatment of Czechoslovakian Jews during the Holocaust, their deportation to ghettos, the
survival of Lebovitz and her daughter in Auschwitz and forced labor camps, their
reunions with relatives and friends after liberation, and their emigration to the United
States.
Provenance: Magda W. Willinger, Lebovitz‘s daughter, translated the text into English in
1981.
