This testimony describes the survival of Shirley Lebovitz and her daughter, Magda, and<br />

their return <strong>to</strong> a normal life after World War II. It includes in<strong>for</strong>mation about the<br />

treatment of Czechoslovakian Jews during the <strong>Holocaust</strong>, their deportation <strong>to</strong> ghet<strong>to</strong>s, the<br />

survival of Lebovitz and her daughter in Auschwitz and <strong>for</strong>ced labor camps, their<br />

reunions with relatives and friends after liberation, and their emigration <strong>to</strong> the United<br />

States.<br />
