armorial bearings of Simeon are Yellow,a Sword.
These are the blessings of the twelve tribes of Israel, whose names were
engraven upon the twelve stones of the High Priest's breastplate, upon which,
according to some traditions, certain flashes of Light appeared playing over certain
of the letters, and thus returning the answer of the deity to the consulter of the
Oracle of the Urim.
By comparing these blessings with the nature of the Signs attributed to the
particular tribes, we have thus been enabled to trace more or less clearly the connection
between them, and also the derivation of the armorial bearings ascribed to
them in Royal Arch Preemasonry.e
