Aritual bath is required after which the aspirantmayput on the black Tau robe, and red slippers. The sash will need to be decoratedwith the Theoricus emblems, but it is not to be worn by the candidate atthis time. Place the sash inside the altar.The aspirant must meditate for a certain length of time on a drawing of thesymbol of Air-anAir triangle (apex upwards) in yellow. Next s/he must spend aperiod of time (20-30minutes) in a darkened room or antechamber to the templeseated in quiet meditation while wearing a hoodwink or blindfold. The AdmissionBadge for the 32nd Path, the Greek Cubical Cross, should be held in the right handthroughout this period. Asmall yellow candle is to be the only source of light in theroom. During this time, darkness and silence are to be maintained. The aspirantshould imagine him/her self under the watchful eye of Anubis of the West. Afterthis period of time, the hoodwink may be removed. The aspirant may then enterthe temple and begin the ritual.Upon entering the temple, imagine that you are leaving your physicalbody outside as a sentinel to guard the temple, so that your spiritual self has thefreedom to accept initiation.PART 0: The OpeningEnter the temple with the Admission Badge of the Cubical Cross. Salute the Bannerof the East with the Neophyte Signs. Leave the cross in the Western part of the temple.Once inside walk deosil to the East. With the Hiereus' sword, perform the LBRP.Give one knock with the pommel of the sword against the floor or side of the chairand say: "HEKAS, HEKAS, ESTE BEBELOI!"Put the sword aside and go to the West of the temple, facing East. Kneel down andinvoke the godform of Thme as in the previous initiation. Vibrate strongly:64 Many diagrams that were used in the early days of the Order were later dropped from the gradeceremonies because they were considered nonessential. Some of them, such as the Altar of Incensediagram in the Zelator grade certainly are. However, the student may find some of these diagramshelpful and decide to utilize them in the initiation ceremonies. The diagram of Gehenna can befound in Chapter Five of this book.
