orn in Krakow in 1953, he studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. From 1975-81 he produced the posters for the para-theatrical activities of Jerzy
Grotowski’s Theatre Laboratory. Since 1988 he has lived and worked in Italy. He has taken part in hundreds of collective exhibitions all over the world, of
which the most recent have been: Souvenirs, at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev (Israel) and Ortus Artis (The Garden of Art) at the Chartreuse of
Padula (SA), organised by A. Bonito Oliva, both in 2008. His major work is Moby Dick, which is now in the new Museum of Art in Lodz; his works have been exhibited
in the principal Polish museums. Of his numerous personal exhibitions the most recent are: Towards the Mountain – Homage to Jerzy Grotowski, Atlas Sztuki
Gallery, Łódź, 2009; Moby Dick – Anima Mundi, National Museum, Szczecin, 2008; The Shadow Line (A Confession), Foksal Gallery, Warsaw, 2007. He has created
statues of Federico Fellini and Krzysztof Kieślowski. His work is in the Targetti Light Art Collection, shown in Warsaw, New York and Vienna. In 2004 he won the
Katarzyna Kobro Prize. Monographs on his work have been published by the National Museums of Warsaw (1995), Szczecin and Lodz (both 2008).

rodzony w Krakowie w roku 1953, studiował na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie. W latach 1975-81 wykonywał afisze do projektów parateatralnych Teatru
Laboratorium Jerzego Grotowskiego. Począwszy od roku 1988 mieszka i pracuje we Włoszech. Brał udział w kilkuset wystawach zbiorowych na całym świecie, z
których ostatnie to m.in. Wspomnienia, na Uniwersytecie Ben-Guriona w Negewie (Izrael) w roku 2008 oraz Ortus Artis, w kartuzji w Padula (SA), zorganizowana
przez A. Bonito Oliva (2008). Jego najważniejszym dziełem jest Moby Dick, znajdujący się w nowym Muzeum Sztuki w Łodzi (2008); prace jego mają w swoich zbiorach
najważniejsze polskie muzea. Artysta ma na koncie liczne wystawy indywidualne, ostatnio: Ku Górze - hommage à Jerzy Grotowski, Galeria Atlas Sztuki Łódź (2009), Moby Dick
– Anima Mundi, Muzeum Narodowe w Szczecinie (2008); The Shadow Line (A Confession) / Brzeg cienia (Wyznanie), Galeria Foksal w Warszawie (2007). Jest autorem pomników
Federico Felliniego i Krzysztofa Kieślowskiego. Dzieła jego znajdują się w Targetti Light Art Collection, prezentowanej w Warszawie, Nowym Jorku i Wiedniu. W roku 2004
otrzymał nagrodę im. Katarzyny Kobro, monograficzne wystawy poświęciły mu Muzeum Narodowe w Warszawie (1995) oraz Muzea Narodowe w Szczecinie i Łodzi (2008).
