Hamlet, but treating them this time with an unforgettable freedom
as simple, basic stagings by modest companies, bringing
them back to life in front of small audiences. As if theatre as
a whole was being reduced, in terms of the text as well as the
audience. We can see theatre there, but a theatre stripped of
all surface, denuded of detail, a theatre which retells, almost
privately, its own great stories. And now Schilling is entering a
new phase, attempting to set up activities that can be defined,
in his enigmatic term, as ‘escapology’. Here is an artist who
has never ceased to question and reinvent his theatre, starting
from a group experience, enriched by his own powerful
autobiographical input.

obecnie nowe doświadczenie, inicjując coś, co określa
