Cantine e tempi del gusto
Wine Cellars and Times to Taste
Grande Mela
Between May and June, two of the most important events
in the wine-making tradition of our region will be held:
“Vinidamare” (in Camogli) and “Liguria da Bere” (in La
Spezia). And in July in New York, Eataly, the temple of taste
in the Big Apple, hosts another big Ligurian wine event
Qualcosa come 1547 ettari di
superficie vitata, per una
produzione di 105mila ettolitri e
circa 4 milioni e mezzo di bottiglie. A
40 anni dalla Doc del Cinque Terre, e
a qualcosa di più da quella del
Rossese di Dolceacqua. Numeri –
quelli della viticoltura ligure – che
raccontano di una regione stretta e
difficile, quanto in espansione. Quel
che non dicono le cifre, lo dice la
qualità - declinata in otto Doc e
quattro Igt – e lo ha ribadito a inizio
aprile l'edizione numero 47 di
Vinitaly, a Verona, dove erano ben
68 le aziende liguri (per 154
etichette) presenti nella scenografica
cantina allestita da Regione Liguria e
Unioncamere.
Una vetrina d’eccezione che avvicina
alla grande stagione delle fiere
enologiche del Levante. A
cominciare dalla decima edizione di
Vinidamare, che si apre domenica
19 maggio con un appuntamento
speciale pensato per i turisti
enogastronomici nei musei e nei
ristoranti di Camogli, prima del
tradizionale lunedì di presentazione
dell’ultima produzione vinicola.
Ricchissimo il calendario di eventi
collaterali - tra cui spicca l’elezione
del “Sommelier ligure dell’anno” -
per un evento che prosegue tutto
l’anno sulle pagine di
“365magazine”, la nuova rivista web
e social dedicata a info, eventi e
novità della rassegna organizzata
dall’Ais di Alex Molinari.
Something like 1,547 hectares
of vineyards, which produce
105,000 hecto-liters and
approximately 4.5 million bottles
of wine. Forty years after the
Cinque Terre received their D.O.C,
and maybe even more years after
Rossese di Dolceacqua was
awarded the same, the numbers
regarding Ligurian wineproducers
– in our region’s narrow
strip between the mountains and
the sea – are showing expansion.
But what the numbers do not say,
quality does. Quality – seen by
our, now, eight D.O.C.s and four
I.G.T.s – was underlined at the
beginning of April by the 47 th
Vinitaly Italian wine trade fair in
Verona, where an impressive 68
producers from Liguria presented
154 labels in the picturesque wine
cellar set-up by the Regione
Liguria and Unioncamere.
An exceptional showcase, as the
great wine fair season on the
Eastern Riviera approaches. It
begins with the tenth
Vinidamare, which opens on
Sunday, May 19 with a special
event planned for wine and
gastronomy tourists in museums
and restaurants of Camogli,
before the traditional Monday
presentation of this year’s wines.
With a very rich calendar of
collateral events – among which
the “Ligurian Sommelier of the
Year” stands out – to be
L'inaugurazione dello store di
Eataly a New York
The inauguration of Eataly
in New York
Il mese successivo il “circus”
enologico ligure si trasferisce a La
Spezia, dove dal 28 al 30 giugno
corso Cavour si trasforma in una
cantina a cielo aperto, tra incontri,
degustazioni, percorsi del
gusto, accompagnate dalla tipicità
della gastronomia territoriale. Tra le
novità della nuova edizione di
Liguria da Bere, i menù dei
ristoratori abbinati alle etichette e le
vetrine a tema, aspettando il B2B
dell’ottobre prossimo fra ristoratori e
produttori, allo Spezia Expò.
Vini e sapori (l'olio, il pesto, i tanti
presidi Slow Food) di Liguria saranno
protagonisti anche a luglio a New
York, città di ristoratori di successo
cresciuti nelle nostre cucine (uno su
tutti: Paolo Secondo, dei Tre Merli).
A ospitarli sarà il tempio del gusto
italiano nella Grande Mela, l'Eataly
della Fifth Avenue, a Manhattan – a
due passi dal Flatiron Building, il più
celebre dei grattacieli – dove per
alcuni giorni, grazie a Camera di
Commercio di Imperia e
Unioncamere, si parlerà (e si
degusterà) più ligure del solito.
continued during the rest of 2013
the new web and social magazine
dedicated to info, events, and
news from the review organized
by Alex Molinari’s Ais.
The next month, wine-lovers of
Liguria move on to La Spezia,
where from June 28 to 30, Corso
Cavour will be transformed into
an open air wine cellar, offering
encounters, wine-tasting, wine
routes and itineraries,
accompanied by the typical
gastronomy of the region. Among
the news at the latest Liguria da
Bere, restaurants will be offering
menus tied to wine labels, and
showcases on theme, while
waiting for the B2B in October at
the Spezia Expò.Wines and
“tastings” (olive oil, pesto, and
other food items from Food) of
Liguria will also be the central
theme in July in New York, a city
of successful restaurants that
have grown up on our cuisine
(one among many: Paolo
Secondo, of the Tre Merli). The
host is the temple of Italian taste
in the Big Apple, Eataly, on Fifth
Avenue in Manhattan (by the
famous Flatiron Building) where
for a few days, thanks to the
Imperia Chamber of Commerce,
and Unioncamere, the talk (and
the tasting) will be more Ligurian
than ever.
