- hereinafter dioxins shall be understood to represent the sum of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin (PCDD)<br />

and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDF), expressed as a sum of toxic equivalency factors (TEF) according<br />

to the WHO scale (WHO-TEFs):
