The North Eastern Railway, so far as Passenger Lines are concerned, is worked
under the Block Telegraph System.
There are, however, certain exceptions, and the following is a list of these
comprising :—
(1.) TERMINAL sworzoms the platform lines of which are beyond the
terminal signal boxes.
(2.) Where the Block Telegraph Regulations are NOT in operation.
(3.) Where the Block Telegraph Regulations ARE in operation, but where,
in order to meet the working requirements, certain modifications a? the usual
rules are allowed. •
