Model H - Depicting <strong>the</strong> relationship between ontologies,<br />

epistemologies and epistemic justification as it relates to <strong>the</strong> <strong>discipline</strong><br />

2.4.2.05 Accordingly, <strong>the</strong> ontological domains are depicted in Mode l H in Graphic 2g as<br />

diagonals. This is based on <strong>the</strong> assumption <strong>of</strong> some conjunct association between ontology<br />

and epistemology, in that certain ontologies may lend <strong>the</strong>mselves to a certain<br />

epistemological justification. For example, <strong>the</strong> domains in <strong>the</strong> upper left quadrant <strong>of</strong> Model<br />

H in Graphic 2g may lend <strong>the</strong>mselves to a more objective epistemology ra<strong>the</strong>r than a<br />

subjective one - vice versa for <strong>the</strong> <strong>the</strong>mes in <strong>the</strong> bottom right quadrant. This may relate to a<br />

realist / relativist dialectic; however my assumption is that ontological domains are more <strong>of</strong><br />
