Starting Your Computer and <strong>the</strong> <strong>Agilent</strong> ChemStation Software<br />
After you have switched on your computer and it has booted up, start <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Agilent</strong> ChemStation by double clicking <strong>the</strong> Instrument Online icon in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Agilent</strong><br />
ChemStation menu.<br />
NOTE<br />
In order <strong>to</strong> control <strong>the</strong> <strong>7100</strong> <strong>Capillary</strong> <strong>Electrophoresis</strong> instrument, <strong>the</strong> ChemStation revision<br />
must be B.04.02 or higher.<br />
NOTE<br />
We recommend you install <strong>the</strong> Lab Advisor software revision B.01.03 or higher.<br />
If you have problems starting <strong>the</strong> <strong>Agilent</strong> ChemStation, check that <strong>the</strong><br />
software has been properly installed. During startup <strong>the</strong> ChemStation might<br />
ask you <strong>to</strong> update <strong>the</strong> connection settings, see Figure 12. You might suppress<br />
this message in <strong>the</strong> future. If you want <strong>to</strong> update <strong>the</strong> instrument configuration,<br />
select Yes. Typically, an instrument configuration must be updated for first<br />
time use of <strong>the</strong> software, changes in <strong>the</strong> IP address or changes in <strong>the</strong> mode of<br />
usage.<br />

and configuration of <strong>the</strong> <strong>7100</strong> CE instrument.<br />
