Working with <strong>the</strong> CE Diagram<br />

Direct Control of Instrument Components<br />

The actions are performed immediately and <strong>the</strong> changes are reflected in <strong>the</strong><br />

CE diagram. Such actions include, for example:<br />

• Switching <strong>the</strong> lamp on.<br />

• Controlling <strong>the</strong> sample tray.<br />

• Lowering <strong>the</strong> lift stations <strong>to</strong> remove <strong>the</strong> capillary cassette.<br />

• Releasing <strong>the</strong> pressure <strong>to</strong> change <strong>the</strong> replenishment bottles.<br />

Working with <strong>the</strong>se items does not change <strong>the</strong> method currently loaded.<br />

Set Error Method<br />

Set Error Method enables you <strong>to</strong> s<strong>to</strong>re <strong>the</strong> current parameters. These parameters<br />

are applied <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> instrument when an error occurs. It ensures that <strong>the</strong><br />

instrument shuts down in a controlled manner if ChemStation control is<br />

discontinued for any reason.<br />

Identify Device<br />

The command Identify Device causes <strong>the</strong> LED on <strong>the</strong> front cover <strong>to</strong> blink<br />

alternating in green and yellow for 4 seconds.<br />
