‘Tankeumchu’: A mid-ripening, black-fruited table grape<br />

‘Tankeumchu’ (Vitis sp. X Vitis vinifera) is a new table grape cultivar that is diploid, ripens midseason<br />

<strong>and</strong> black-fruited <strong>with</strong> large clusters (Fig. 1). It has a mean bud burst on Apr. 24, full<br />

blooming on June 1, <strong>and</strong> fruit maturity on Sep. 10. It has an excellent taste <strong>with</strong> abundant juice<br />

<strong>and</strong> soft firmness. The berry’s mean weight is 7.0 g, <strong>and</strong> mean content of soluble solids 18.0<br />

o Brix. ‘Tankeumchu’ is more suitable to the mild climate <strong>with</strong> its moderate resistance to cold<br />

hardiness.<br />
