Program:<br />

Description:<br />

Fire Marshal and Code Compliance.<br />

Serves as the <strong>County</strong>’s fire marshal to ensure consistency of fire related permit reviews and inspections in the<br />

unincorporated areas of the county, as well as review of fire marshal components of land use and other applications.<br />

Conducts fire investigations. Operates the code compliance section to ensure that residents and others comply with<br />

the <strong>County</strong>’s land use, zoning, environmental, and shoreline codes and once violations are found, they are brought<br />

into compliance quickly and efficiently. Serves as the lead agency for the <strong>County</strong>’s <strong>Kitsap</strong> Nuisance Abatement<br />

Program (KNAP) an interagency program focused on eliminating major nuisances in the unincorporated areas.<br />
