Building Maintenance<br />

This program is designed to maintain <strong>Kitsap</strong> <strong>County</strong> buildings and facilities through efficient response to all<br />

service requests in areas including, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, flooring, painting, roof repairs,<br />

remodels, door/lock repairs, recycling, landscaping, and furniture relocation; to utilize all trade professionals as<br />

efficiently as possible while constantly focusing on continuous improvements and compliance with all Federal,<br />

State and Local codes and laws.<br />

A) Provide a proactive maintenance program reducing reactive maintenance service calls<br />

B) Provide first responder services to the county<br />

C) Develop a building renewal and replacement fund (BR&R)<br />

D) Develop a database for <strong>County</strong> facilities that outline life span, replacement costs and energy usage.<br />

A) Achieve a 90 percent customer satisfaction rating on quality and level of service<br />

B) Maintain a cost per square foot below industry standards without sacrificing quality<br />

C) Provide maintenance services to approximately 534,418 square feet of building space<br />

D) Provide grounds keeping service to approximately 247,850 square feet of landscaped areas, parking<br />

lots and sidewalks<br />

E) Respond to 50% of non-emergency service calls within 2 days<br />

F) Process and complete work order requests in a timely and efficient manner<br />
