Emergency Management<br />

This is the heart and soul of all functions at <strong>Kitsap</strong> Emergency Management. This program is where all the<br />

planning functions and response to any emergency/disaster occurs. This program is funded by assessments<br />

per capita to each city in <strong>Kitsap</strong> <strong>County</strong> and unincorporated <strong>Kitsap</strong> <strong>County</strong>, thru grants and through Interfund<br />

transfer between cost centers (Homeland Security).<br />

KPREP – <strong>Kitsap</strong> Practices Responsible Emergency Preparedness<br />

Homeland Security (1061, 1062 and 1063)<br />

Fund 1061 is the fund which all public education, citizen preparedness and training is housed. The<br />

separation from Emergency Management is to assure the funding of operations, planning and<br />

responding to a disaster is separate from public education. General fund monies for operations is<br />

utilized in Emergency Management not public education.<br />
