<strong>Encore</strong> <strong>Two</strong> <strong>User</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> Issue 1You should always select the largest format you need to work with (forexample, selecting 5.1 will allow you to work in all surround formats up tothis size).The options are Stereo, LCRS, 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 which use 2, 4, 6, 7 or 8Film paths respectively.The number of Film Listens (used for AFL Solo) will also be changed tomatch the Surround selection.To change the Number of System Paths> Click System Paths.A warning prompt will appear advising users not to continue unless theyare familiar with the purpose of the system paths and parameters.> Click on OK to continue (or Cancel to quit).The system paths boxes will appear.> Enter the required number of Listen, Talkbacks and SELs.The most common use for this function is to increase the number of SELs,to enable the use of VU Meters. (See the monitoring schematic in theMonitoring chapter).The number of Film Listens is set automatically according to the Filmsselection. This should not be changed.Path typeSELsListens 2TalkbacksFilmsNumber5 (or 6 for older systems with a VU on the meterbridge)1 (or 2 for systems with MIOS)Automatically set depending on Surround Law.Allocating Path ProcessingThere are pages in Desk Edit for each of the path types, which allowrapid configuration of the processing.> To select the path, click the required tab (Channels, Tracks, Groups,etc).The first path on the page will be outlined in red.> Click on the required path.The path will be outlined in red and the path name, number and type willbe shown and the processing in the path will be shown in the pathprocessing box.If there are more than 24 paths of one type then they are displayed andscrolled 24 at a time (i.e. paths 1-24, then 25-48, etc.).- 146 -
