Encore Two User Manual Issue 1Before you port the machines, first ensure that if there are Inputsdisplayed on the left of the screen, and the window on the right must beset to display Outputs (outputs from the desk are inputs to the machine,and vice versa) otherwise ports will not be applied.> Highlight the selection to be applied by clicking on the first port, thenholding Shift and clicking the last port to highlight a selection.> Drag and drop this on the first port where you wish to start your portingfrom.When ports are applied, unlike I/O Manager, Encore does not warn you that an Output port mayalready be in use.> To set the relays for a machine, all the desired machine to the righthand window and click Relays underneath (this option will be unavailableif the Relay field is set to None).> From the Relay Type pulldown menu, select the type of relay.> Double click on the words Not Connected, and a dialogue box willopen.> Enter the number of the relay.> If you hit Return on the keyboard, the highlight bar will drop to thenext path and increment the value by one.> The + and - buttons at the end of the field can be used to increase ordecrease the relay number.If you try to assign a relay that is already in use, you will be warned ofthis before any reassignment takes place.> To clear ports or relays, highlight the selection to be cleared by clickingand dragging, then press Clear.Clearing Output ports will not clear Input porting and vice versa.- 182 -
