<strong>Encore</strong> <strong>Two</strong> <strong>User</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> Issue 1Configuration FilesThere are six different types of configuration file:• GPI Config: Contains settings for General Purpose Interface ie firingoptos and relay to and from the console.• Desk Setup: The primary configuration for the console surface,including number of signal paths, control settings and routing.• I/O Config: Configuration of the input and output ports, includingdither, delay and stereo pairing GPI Configuration of the GeneralPurpose Interface for relays and opto-isolators (not used by LogicDFC)• Meter Design: Only used by DFC to configure meter assignments inthe meter bridge.• Snapshots: Snapshots of control settings on the console surface (notused by DFC)• <strong>User</strong> Defaults: <strong>User</strong> defined default control values, typically used ascontrol reset values.The Desk Setup is the 'master' to which the other configuration files canbe linked.File StructureThe link means that when a Desk Setup is loaded, the correct set ofconfiguration files is also loaded automatically.A Desk Setup does not have to be linked to any other configuration files.Automation and Configuration FilesA Mix Tree is linked to a Desk Setup.This means that when a Mix is loaded from a Mix Tree, the Desk Setup isalso loaded automatically.If there are any other configuration files linked to the Desk Setup thenthese are also loaded automatically.A Mix Tree is initially linked to the Desk Setup that was current at the timethe Mix Tree was created.A Mix Tree is always linked to a Desk Setup, although the particular DeskSetup can be changed.Also, links can be overridden when a Mix Tree or Desk Setup is loaded.- 217 -
