<strong>Encore</strong> <strong>Two</strong> <strong>User</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> Issue 1Time after frame edge that machine position reports are requested fromthe machine.Each “unit” in the value is 128 uS (i.e. 10 = 1.3mS, 80 = 10mS).Some machines do not update their internal position values until somedistance into the frame.Use this parameter to remove any ambiguity about machine positionvalues.A typical result of this parameter needing adjustment is persistent andrandom 1 frame lock errors.Show MCS Machine StatusDisplays or hides the Machine Status bar.This shows either the status of the current group (the group master isindicated by a red * in the Machine name) or the status of the currentmachine in solo.Machine Status is displayed above the Label List on the main <strong>Encore</strong>screen.> To show or hide the MCS Machine Status, click the Show MCS MachineStatus option in the Transport Menu.When the Status is shown, the option is ticked.• ID: shows the port number the machine is using.• Machine: shows the name of the machine, usually indicating themodel name.• Offset: shows the offset from the Group Master.• Position: shows the current position of the machine.• Status: shows the current activity of the machine, i.e. Stop, Play, etc.• Deviation: shows the difference between the machine's position andthe timeline position. This takes any offset into account (i.e. if thedifference is equal to the offset then the deviation is zero).• Error: shows any errors reported by the serial connection to themachine, for example, mismatch in frame rate.• RM: shows the current Record Mode. This will be DIS for disabled;INS for insert edit mode or ASS for assemble edit mode.There is no dialogue box for this function.Show MCS Group StatusThis shows the overall status of the Group and the status of eachindividual machine in the Group.The status of the Group Master is shown above the number 1.The Group Status is displayed above the Label List on the main <strong>Encore</strong>screen.The box at the right hand end shows the current system reference, eitherLTC (linear timecode) or VIDEO.The background colour indicates the status of the reference source, withgreen for present & red for absent.> To show or hide the MCS Group Status, click the Show MCS GroupStatus option in the Transport Menu.When the Status is shown, the option is ticked.- 96 -
