Encore Two User Manual Issue 1Predub Masters (Digital)PreDub Masters are a control only path type used to control the predubmembers (consisting of any combination of mono Channels or Tracks. Itis not possible to use stereo Channels in a predub).PreDub Masters use no processing resources.All controls in the predub members are linked to the PreDub Master.PreDub Masters are assigned to the surface using the Desk Designerpage of Desk Edit.If a PreDub Master is not assigned to the surface then it is not possibleto expand it and access the member paths.PreDub Masters can control a group of up to 8 Channels and/or Tracks inany combination.The predub members are 'stacked' under the PreDub Master and areaccessed individually by expanding the predub across the PreDub Zone.A predub can not be expanded if the console does not have a PreDubZone.> Click a Predub in the Predubs list.> Click the Channels or Tracks radio button.> Highlight a continuous selection from the Path list or drag and drop eachrequired path from this list to the Selected Paths in PreDub list (thenames of paths used in predubs will turn green in the upper window).If a path which is already assigned to a predub is dragged and dropped, adialogue box will appear to confirm whether or not the path should bemoved from one predub to the other.> Click Yes or No.The PreDub Zone Width column in the predubs list will show the numberof paths in that predub.If the paths were already assigned to the console in Desk Designer, theywill be de-assigned automatically and the first path in the predub will bereplaced by the PreDub Master on the console surface.> To Remove Paths from a Predub, drag and drop the path from theSelected Paths in PreDub list to the Paths list above it.> To remove all paths from a predub, click the Remove All button, andclick Yes to confirm.> To Rename a Predub, click on the required predub and click the NamePreDub button, or double click on the User Name for the required predub.A box will appear over the top of the existing User Name to allow thename to be edited. Enter a name of up to four characters with thekeyboard and press Return.NB: Check Desk Designer to make sure that all PreDub Masters areassigned to the console surface!> To save the Predub setup with the Desk Setup, click Save & Load.- 159 -
