Encore Two User Manual Issue 1> Click on the required Port in the Ports list (if the required Port is not inthe list, click on the Rack and Type radio buttons to select the correctlocation of the port. If the Port is already in use then the Paths box willshow the path name and the words Port Used By 1 Other Path willflash).> Click the Assign button.Input and Output ports can onlybe assigned to Paths if the Pathtype is appropriate.For example, input ports cannotbe assigned to Main Paths andOutput ports cannot be attachedto Channel Paths (unless anOutput has been added to thechannel path in Path Edit orDesk Edit).The port name will be displayed against the Path in the Out column (if thePort was in use by another path then it will be de-assigned and thenassigned to the new path. This is because only one path can be routed toan Output Port).If Auto Increment is enabled, the next Path and Port in each list will beselected.> Click Assign repeatedly to assign sequential Ports and Paths.Inserts> To assign Ports to Inserts in a path, select Insert In 1 from the dropdown list.The In and Out columns will show Insert In 1 and Insert Out 1.The Insert In 1 column will be highlighted in green.> Click in the Insert In 1 column for the path with the Insert.> Click on the required Port in the Ports list.
